How it all began

Alliance Payphone Inc. is a privately held company based out of Southern California and is a industry leading provider in the payphone business. The company was the first of it’s kind to create a fully automated refund and repair service for the payphone industry, the Auto211 service has now grown to over 240,000 anis on its system.

Alliance Payphone, Inc started in 1997 built and operates its own payphone route. When it came to the refund and repair service for payphones, we saw the severe deficiencies in the way the customer was helped. So we developed an automated system that would offer the ultimate customer solution, call completion to the customer. At the same time, many abuse control features prevent callers from abusing the service. The system also provides a refund in case the caller does not wish to make a call or was not able to complete a call. The refund is sent out from our office with 72 hrs; making the time a person receives a refund much quicker than what the industry standard was, prior to the Auto211 service.

Taking the success from the Auto211 service, the company then set it sights printing signage. In most cases it is too much investment to purchase upper and lower placards, for example: the cost for "how many inks" and "purchasing more cards than is needed" just to get a good price break. We are payphone owners as well and saw that the industry needed change in the way that this process had been done for so many years, this is how XpressID was created.

International calling has been seen in the payphone industry as problem due to fraud. That is why when we built the PSP Globalcom program, we put many fraud prevention features into it, such as a $25 per day ani limit cap, and a flagged call report if a call goes 60 minutes in duration.
